Soochow University in Taiwan, a UTCC’s partner university, offered an opportunity for currently enrolled students in ASEAN countries and India to participate in its Intelligent Manufacturing and Production course for 7 days. Joining the course was two students from UTCC International. Participants got to know Taiwan’s development of innovative products for the fourth industrial revolution. They also learned about industry 4.0 in which technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data management, smart automation, and the internet of things are incorporated into production processes. The course has truly strengthened students’ comprehension of practice. It also combined the case studies and a field trip to Hsinchu, the birthplace of semi-conductor manufacturing in Taiwan.
